What is the Creative Industries environment?

The Creative Industries environment, represents one of the most important sector that since the 1997 was accurately defined by the British Government, DCMS was created in 1997 (formerly DNH, 1992). They define the sector as: "...those industries which have their origin in individual creativity, skill and talent which have a potential for job and wealth creation through the generation and exploitation of intellectual property" ('Creative Industries Mapping Document', DCMS, 2001).
